1. Matters concerning the Welfare of Ex-serviceman

2. Provision of Irrigation facilities

3. Supervision over sub treasuries

4. Coordinating the activities of various government departments.

5. Supervising the Training programmes for junior officers

6. Acting the chief Protocol officer

7. Implementing the Directives of Union and State governments etc.

8. Co-ordinating the activities of various government Departments

GRAM PANCHAYAT (OR) VILLAGE PANCHAYAT

Gram Panchayat or Village Panchayat is the lower tier in the Panchayat Raj system. Normally there will be a village panchayat for a minimum population of 250. The commissioner of Panchayat Raj department makes Notification for setting up of village Panchayat on the suggestions of the District Collector. Every Grama panchayat comprises four organs, namely;

1. Village panchayat

2. Sarpanch

3. Panchayat Secretary

4. Gram sabha
